I think your older style has some merits here, and your muzzle looks a little too big in the newer pic. Still, these are both great pics. You're looking sexy!

My older style wasn't really a style at all. I just had less of a concept on how things should look. My art was a lot more innocent, since I was happy with where I was at, even when it didn't look all that wonderful. As for the muzzle issue, I still have some trouble grasping advanced anatomy, I think I should spend more time drawing various animals to help me understand skull shapes. As far as it being too large, I was having trouble placing it to look similar to the older one, and still be correct. There is a lot wrong with the face in the older picture. A LOT. Either way, I'm pretty happy with my progress, there is more depth now, and I am currently adding basic shading to the newer one. I will probably add a simple background and upload it as a separate image all together! :3 Also, thanks! -=Wiggles her rump.=- I'd like to think that I'm decent looking myself. ^^

Working on it right now! ^^ I've been making notes as I go along, and I can say that positive critique really helps. The forums is a wonderful place to have others make redlines and suggestions.

personally I would do a few studies on rat faces then work that section next, it's the part that's kind of rubbing me wrong.

That's true, but I'm not sure it would help much with facial structure. Their heads more closely resemble jackals.
