Here's a first backstage look at some of the goings-on with the long-awaited Peaches figure! :)
On the right is a photo sent to me by the company for review. This is their initial attempt at translating the 2D color layouts that were sent in onto the 3D figure. As you can see, while it looks okay, usually there are modifications that need to be made before approval. In this case, the light part of Peaches's tail kind of rode up on the side of her tail instead of properly being on the underside. Some small changes to her body pattern on her thighs, waist, and feet are also noted. In other notes, I also mentioned that her body color needs to be more orange, etc.
These along with other roughly-Photoshopped photos are what get e-mailed back to the company, where I sit on pins and needles hoping the changes were properly conveyed and will be executed correctly. Cross your fingers that the new photos show the changes I asked for! <XD
Preorders still open!

The original sculpt was done with an oven baked clay called Supersculpy which turns hard as a rock. A mold is made with silicone and copies are made with resin (something similar to two part epoxy glue). The paint can be whatever you want as the resin is near indestructible but most people use a primer then acrylic paint. Professionals often use oil paints for very subtle effects and shading or acrylics used with an airbrush.
