They both belong to me.
The fluffy girl is called Athena and the flirty lynx is called Hermes.
This is a picture of when Athena was much younger, so still large but not her full size. Hermes was instantly stricken by the large, fluffy feline that roamed the beach, unaware that she was a feline of the sea. Or pirate.
Athena roamed the warm sandy beach while her mother, the captain of their ship, gathered supplies with the rest of the crew. Their ship was docked at the shores awaiting their return for yet another voyage. Athena could not wait to see what adventure awaited her next, but for now she enjoyed exploring the land they were briefly visiting.
Behind her a pair of paw steps caught her attention. At first she thought it to be a fellow crew mate, but that scent was not familiar. With a frown she turned her head, only to see a male Lynx standing there on a rocky boulder. He greeted her with a purr of delight as he called out
"Hey there fluffy beauty, what are you called?
She gave him a drool stare as her ear twitched in annoyance and answered him with silence.
The male was unfazed as he took her silence in stride.
"That's ok I will just call Siren then."
Still nothing, except a twitch of the lip and a warning growl.
"They call me Hermes."
As Hermes continued his conversation with the grumpy feline he began to regain her with funny stories and asking her of her life on the sea, something she revealed to him as she warmed up to him.
By the time the sun had begun to set Athena found herself becoming rather fond of the male. As her mother called for her to return to the ship she said her goodbyes, leaving him with only her name.
The two see each other quite a bit throughout her life. But no matter how many times Athena invited him to join her on the seas, Hermes answer was always the same.
"My life is here on land, it calls to me like the sea calls to you my Siren."
