Many narrate myths by omitting their beginnings, and yet, before the very own creation of Universes, exist a stagnant and rotting Dark Age. A time when time itself was not even a notion, an age in which Stars were extinguished before they were born. An era of an Endless Night, filled with despair and hate that even Death could not shorten. It was called the Age before Time.
And it is in despair that our myth was born, because in every beginning there is the age of the night and because every legend begins with a spark that lights up a new world. This spark was Fūseijou, the deity representing time and thus order. And with the help of his brothers and sisters, they fought against Darkness and created our very own World.
Listen up the next time you visit Kōsaten, many elders still tell this old legend whether along small alleys with stone-strewn streets or in the various temples erected for the glory of these deities.
