Today's my birthday, and this was a birthday gift from my friend Toya/Anzu... from last year! Neglected to post it back then due to not really posting a whole lot last year regardless, but since it's been a full year, this is a good time to post it publicly.

For a long time I wanted a picture of our Pathfinder characters, his Anzu the paladin crow and my Milo the gunslinger cat, from the previous campaign we played in that ended a few years ago. Despite Milo's grumpy disposition clashing with Anzu's optimistic heroism, they ended up bonding over the course of the story, both being sons of famous soldiers (although from opposite, warring countries) and both having lost their families. After Milo had revealed his tragic backstory to the party, there was a moment later on a ferry ride where Anzu and him just got to be alone and talk about their former lives and loved ones that I felt was the solidification of their close friendship and the start of Milo's slow recovery and opening up more.

So during the rest of the campaign and long after, I always wanted to get one last picture of the two together, and finally Toya very generously commissioned it from Pac as a gift for my birthday last year. We're both still really close to these characters, Milo being my favorite character I've ever made and Toya adopting Anzu as an alternate fursona, so commemorating them in a picture like this was really important and meaningful. We're always gonna have these two in our hearts, and maybe one day they'll get to have another adventure, but for now I'm grateful that this picture was finally made.
