Back in the relatively early days of Li'l Abner Al Capp introduced the Shmoo, a cute bipedal creature of boundlessly giving and mildly satiric nature. It created a fad, with occasional reappearances as late as the 70s when a couple lousy cartoons got made with them. Anyway. They're cute, they're a slightly odd body design, why not some more fan art? Here's a Shmoo reading a newspaper despite the armless nature of their body. It's based on a panel from a Li'l Abner comic book and a story about Shmooperman. I'm not sure who the artist was except that since it was in the comic book it wasn't Al Capp. His design, though, of course.
