Considering how little macromanagement you need to do of the finer details, I would have to agree. To best understand the artist's vision and piece of mind is to see how they handle a physical canvas before them.

Also, at first, I believed the whiter area to be a second creature holding the darker, with it's wing. Cheek-to-cheek. My heart melted at the sight, but I don't know if I'm percieving that correctly. My gut tells me I'm not.

It does give it a delicate wispy look that's somewhat hard to emulate on computer.

wow i love the colors in this one. That paper has a crazy texture!
