Woooow, this looks lit! can I ask what kind of software you use for animation?

I'm asking because I wanted to tackle animation myself but I have no idea how to get started or what software works best for beginners

I have just been using Photoshop. it is very limited when it comes to animation tho. at least as far as I have ben doing it ( I'm not great at learning how software works ). But if you know the basics. you can do animation on pretty much any drawing software and traditional mediums. the only difference is that "real" animation software will help you with making it easier. like onion skin or being able to switch between layers more turned to animation instead of a normal drawing.

Also. I recoment doing it on paper some time. Just somthing basic to start with. When you do it tradisinaly you get a better grasp at it for your first time. plus. it is waaaayyy cheaper X3

ah yeah, I tend to do all my sketches on paper before doing them digital. I can do digital sketches but Idk, I feel like I have a better grasp of the tools and I can draw better anatomy on paper rather than on a digital drawing program, you know?

I feel ya. every time I try to do a sketch of thumbnail digitally I overdo it or just flat out hate it. but whe nI use just normal pen and paper, I'm way more in the flow of things.

yeah! it's like you feel more control over the paper and pencil rather than using digital tools for the base sketches. When I do sketch digitally, I feel like I'm doing the proportions all wrong or simply they don't look right. with the paper that isn't the case. It's kinda weird how all that works, isn't it?

small changes in motor functions can trip you up. That and if you have the "go back to last step" option. you tent to not trust your own decision making when working on the sketching as much as you do when you don;t have that tool.
