I'm calling it Neex's wintercoat just cause it was meant to have her anatomy. And I might airbrush it at some point. but being my second head ever; the anatomy wasn't really what I aimed for.

Just a quick update to show it. I'll try to get pictures of the whole suit real soon..
I got some taken when I was at school friday but the email with the pictures didn't get sent to me for some reason.
It is possible for me to put it on and take pictures with my webcam but it'll be VERY low quality and hardly worth it :/
So yeah; SBOUT THE SUIT:
These two pieces undoubtedly took the longest!
The paws took me at least 20hours of work! the claws are fimo polymer clay and the the pawpads are faux leather and stuffed. Very squishy and fun to play with! ^^
The head is made with strips of plastic placemats hot glued into a helmet shape; hot glues foam onto that, and then faux fur hotglued onto that. You see through the pupils through a screen, and it has follow-me eyes. (the eyes are concave) The nose is fimo polymer clay (and white paint for nose shine) I havent done the inside of the mouth yet but i plan to.
I honestly don't like the head that much and if I go to anime north I think I'll just make a new one.

Good stuff. that fact that you are not happy with it says a lot.( what does Thad mean by this?) well you put the X# of hours into and are not discouraged. Suits are a tone of work and you have to learn a lot as you go. Everyone does things different so it not like you have done things right or wrong. You did a good job for having been only your second try and your level of experience. keep it up and remember it all in the details.
Thats so cool ^^ I like the eyes did you also make those yourself? You're also only 16, I'm so impressed. I'm currenlty learing how to use my sewing machine and stuff and I can make tails and paws (kinda) but question how'd you make the pads on your paws? I'm not so good at that thus I normally end up keeping them flat which is not so fun ^^'
Yep I made everything myself.
And actually I hand sewed the paws and hand sewed the pawpads on. When I hand sew, I sew with fishing wire (it's stronger than thread and matches all colours) when there's about 1cm left to sew, I stuff in a bunch of cotton filling used to stuff pillows (which I also used for my tail). I used new stuffing though, not just from an old pillow. But that would probably work too if you're on a budget and don't mind uneven lumps or odd smells lol

Very cool ^^ I like my sewing machine for larger simple things like tails, otherwise I handsew too, and ok you say fishing wire works better?
I shall try your way on my next pair of paws =3 I couldnt get the colours to match if I was using 2 different coloured fabrics and I couldnt get the pads to be squishy and 3D without somehow messing something up ^^' so yeah what you say should solve it, thanks.
