I've been neglecting drawing animals (and homework...) to draw Case Closed fan art. x3 If anything good's come out of my obsession with this show, it's that I've gotten a decent amount of people drawin' practice. ^^; I still suck at drawing hands though but I'm getting better I think.

Conan's my favorite little harbinger of death. It was only suiting that I drew him like a little grim reaper. x3 And it was perfect for a halloween image...but I can't finish it for halloween 'cause I draw slow. :( That and I get hand cramps really easily. It took me a good few hours to do lines and just do this little coloring. :(

I'm just playing around with colors and shading. Instead of working with flats like I usually do I just made everything have a blue base and then work up from that. So far it's working with his hair. I'm sure everything looks super dark right now. I'm trying to not be afraid to make things too dark. So where things are supposed to be shadowy, it's gonna be shadowy and where things are supposed to be lighter it will be. That's my plan at least.
