The crackle of fire mingled with the crunch of blackened branches. The fire grew, greedily spreading to neighboring trees and houses. There was no one here who could put it out.
Burning tongues of flame flared up, felt the ground and pulled everything fragile, combustible and very tasty to the epicenter.
When the flame was saturated, it curled up into a ball of fiery whirlwind and.. disappeared.
A creature stood in the center of the ashes. The fire had gained enough strength to take physical form. The chest of the creature heaved heavily, and the last echoes of fire sprouted from it in flowers, pulsing in time with the beating of the Heart.
Regaining his breathing, Rush tucked the fire back under his ribs and slowly headed towards the city.
