Seen here giving the military salute while holding his timpani mallets, Timpani Tiger is the leader of the Drumbum Tigers, who makes his living marching in parades and dramatically drumming on the kettledrums. Here's his bio:
Timpani Tiger Bio
Name: Timpani Tiger
Species: Bengal tiger
Gender: Male
Alternate Name: Timothy Taggart
Nationality: Bengalian-American
Former Occupations: Military drill sergeant for the Bengalian Army
Current Occupations: Percussionist on the musical payroll system, music composer and conductor, competitive bodybuilder, swimsuit model, and leader of the Drumbum Tigers. While the Drumbum code of honor tests all percussionists with their abilities on the snare drum, they are allowed to pick the instrument that best suits them, and Timothy was already playing timpani with the Bengalian Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia Assocaiton. He teaches instructional videos with timpani, and campaigns alongside the Kettledrum Cats to bring marching timpani back to the marching band, instead of just using it in the pit.
Appearance: Large and muscular tiger with blue eyes. Due to his modeling job, you can expect to see him at the appropriate times wearing only a speedo or swimsuit. It caused a fuss with parents overprotective of their kids, but Timothy and his tigers are conscious of the fact and always keep it to the proper places. If clothes are to fully cover his body, he'll wear a white drum major's uniform with golden stripes and Epaulettes, or sometimes a black tuxedo with a red bowtie. He also has a brown business suit with a brown tie and pants to match. His uniform and formal wear all have the proper shoes.
In certain cases, Timothy also uses a black uniform with silver highlights, similar to John the Tiger. The shako for the white and black uniforms each feature a silver paw print on it, and the plume is orange for the black shako, and green for the white one.
Hometown: Gun City, Saluto, Bengalia
Current Hometown: Wildcat City, Kansas, USA
Age Immortalized by CNG: 26
Battle Uniform: His white drum major's uniform is his battle uniform, although on hot summer days he may just wear a pair of shorts and nothing else. He puts emphasis, however, on beating his timpani.
He might also use the black uniform for this purpose.
UPDATE: Timothy, for whatever reason, decided to make the black uniform the battle uniform. The black uniform also has silver highlights, such as epaulettes with stars, and stripes across the chest and down the arms and pant legs.
Superpowers: He carries one timpani with him into battle, which can magically change pitch when necessary. This also expands into a standard set of four timpani whenever he is to perform a solo, with the band or orchestra, or teach a video. (When as a set of four, they act regularly, with tuning necessary). The timpani leaves loud ringing in the ears of the enemies, and can also knock them off balance, no matter how strong a footing they hold.
Bio: After the success of the Drumbum Rats became headline news, Leonine and Bengalia decided to form their own clubs of Drumbums. Upon arriving on Earth, the three groups merged into one large army's worth of animals, all of which play musical instruments while working full-time as bodybuilders and swimsuit models. Timothy was appointed leader of the Drumbum Tigers (upon suggestion from other tigers and approval from the Snare Soldier, Roger J. Raticus). Part of his qualifications came from his military career as a drill sergeant, and his natural marching abilities. However, Roger made the point that although proficiency on the snare drum was what Timothy would be judged by, he would be allowed to associate himself with the instrument that suited him best. Timothy was already playing timpani in the Bengalian Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonic, so he went with that.
Timothy has two bodybuilding championships under his belt, but didn't learn until after his second championship about those who feared him (which chances are may have been Eternals, since Zanta and his people have fears about muscular beings, particularly bodybuilders and superheroes, although they do trust the G-52s). This is because Cripto had purchased vacation homes for the Drumbums in response to a presentation they did on why the STOPS organization was targeting them for all the wrong reasons. During the presentation, Timothy performed his signature timpani solo piece, Elliot Carter's "March" from "Eight Pieces for Timpani."
Later that week, he would perform as a guest alongside the COTS (Circus of the Superstars) band, beating a tense timpani drum roll (alongisde Graham Gurdetha being a roll on his snare drum), leading up to Fearless Fox's succesful world-record 200-foot shallow dive into a shallow tank of water. Upon the fox's emerging victorious, the band broke into Aaron Copeland's "Fanfare for the Common Man" (after doing a traditional cymbal crash upon him hitting the water, and a "ta-da" upon him emerging).
Timothy's use of timpani as a weapon of battle was inspired by the Kettledrum Cats of Kriegland and their courage to campaign to bring marching timpani back to the marching band (although they don't wish to use horse platoons as mentioned in the song "76 Trombones"). His signature attack is a crescendo in the drum roll he beats, which ultimately knocks the enemies off balance and leaves ringing in their ears, sometimes to the point that they'll go deaf and will be forced to learn sign language.
Timothy's non-timpani routines on the musical payroll system include beating tenor drums on the march alongside Roger playing snare drum and Lonnie Lionus (leader of Leonine's Drumbum Lions) on bass drum; think college football halftime show here. He was also considered for the Taiko Tigers upon discovery of his abilites with taiko drums, but to join them would require him to quit the Drumbums (as he saw it), so he declined. Nevertheless, Peter Carter and his Taiko Tigers frequently ask Timothy and his fellow Drumbums to perform with them as one large unit.
When asked to play a snare drum, Timothy's signature selection is the "Gridiron Club March."
Timothy can only speak English.
Quotes: "I use to think, 'Oh, the wimps!', when I saw that timpani had elegated to the pit. But are you really chicken, or is it for safety reasons? Or has it gone out of style? Either way, I will fight alongside my fellow timpanists, the Kettledrum Cats of Kriegland, to bring marching timpani back to the football field, parade ground, and ceremonial duties."
"Listen to the beating of the drums, and obey its commands!"
"Can't hear anything, villains? Then you're not worthy to continue your villainy!"
"Fearless Fox lived up to his name with that high dive, but it almost gave me a heart attack when he hit the water. Divers have to be really brave or really stupid to do that sort of thing. But he pulled it off."
"I don't see why that Zanta kid was afraid of me. I don't want to come off scary to him or his people."
