in fact i still struggle to make my mind on how to call nonhuman species in my setting as a whole. didn't come up with anything more encapsulating than "anthromorphs", idk
[carnivores, raptors, reptiloids - are just temporary names. Didn't come up with anything more interesting yet]
copied from boosty:
Several sentient nonhuman species, that emerged from different prehistoric ancestors via addition of some alternative evolutionary mechanisms involving disciplines.
The phenotypes of each species [as well as the balance between humanoid and animal traits in carnivores, raptors and reptilians] have the widest range of diversity depending on a plenty of factors. Genetics, heredity, age, discipline, mutations [including the intervention of phantoms], genetic modifications and others.
[The history of species is still quite vague and a work in progress.]
✧ Jukan - ancient species of insectoids that reached technological and disciplinary proficiency before emergence of first mammals, and vanished in outerspace for unclear reasons.
✧ Reptiloids - [unironic ones, yes] are the second oldest species.[WIP]
✧ Raptors - emerged from small dinosaurs.[WIP]
✧ Carnivores - evolved alongside with hominids. Unable to compete with their ingenuity, they resort to using shapeshifting abilities to imitate humanoids as well as wild animals. May have features of both feline and canine suborders.
[The tactic of concealment was picked by reptiloids and raptors as well, in favour of benefiting from quickly developing human technologies, instead of direct clash.]
✧ Ketosy - descendent of protocetaceans. Having reached a level of technology sufficient to provide themselves with an underwater infrastructure, ketosy isolated themselves from land in the inaccessible abyss of the oceans.
