Commission for  nettaj!

'When local 'hero' buddies Hake and Duncan relax together at the beach in a rather compromising position, their loyal 'sidekicks' Shiro and Tik decide that they've spent enough time in the shadows. It's time to take these two dorks down... the giggly way!'

So a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away,  Dirtybird did this pic for  Hake-Feretto and  DecoyBuizel.

About a year ago, in May 2021,  nettaj left a comment suggesting a possible story based on the pic, and pondered commissioning me to write it.

Now here we are, in 2022, with the story having finally been ordered in April, and it coming out just a month later. XP

This one was a bit harder as I've written Duncan once before, but I had NEVER written Hake, Shiro, or Tik... so I was terrified. Plus, it was a surprise gift, so I couldn't just casually ask either Hake or Lance for tips on how to not fuck up their characters. So aside from a few discreet pokes that Mr. Nettaj delivered their way, I was flying by the seat of my pants for this one.

And miraculously, I pulled out a really epic story that every single person involved liked. So, go me. XD

I had a lot of fun with this one, much like my other commissions. Natural anxiety over doing the idea justice aside, it was neat getting to work with a lot of new concepts. I got to write for all these characters for the first time (at least with Duncan, this time he took on more of a proper role, and the last time I wrote him it was with help from Max), I got to try out some different tickle methods, and I got to apply a lot of new sentence structures and techniques to help the story flow better.

I think it turned out great -- and considering that Nettaj, Hake, and Lance all really liked it, I consider this a triple crown win. I hope you all like it, too. <3
