One of the few movies I won't watch alone (or simply refuse to watch), there aren't many of films that do that to me, the only other one I can think of at the moment is a film called "Intruder Within" (It's about a lifeform that infects the crew of an oilrig. It's NOT a porno, before anyone thinks that from the name, it's also an extremely hard film to locate, I caught it on its ONLY play on Sci-Fi when I was 12...).
That's what made it so memorable, because they were 'real' in a sense. I loved how horrifying the dog one looked, and how the head spider skittered away. I'm not looking forward to the new Thing movie they're making. I heard rumors though that instead of it being a remake though, it's a prequel involving the story of the other science lab where those two survivors chasing the dog down in the beginning of the first movie.
