Oh my.
This actually reminds me of a time way-back-when I was a young country boy, when my age still had a single digit.
Had the most useless torch at the time, but it was just bright enough to reflect in the eyes of animals, and I was investigating a noise out the window of my house and saw three pairs of glowing eyes respond to the torch and my presence at the window.
Scared the bejebus out of me, however I learned the next day that it was just my neighbours huge irish wolf hounds on the loose, that decided to stop and fornicate in the spacious back yard on the property I lived on. They were a bunch of lapdogs, but still, seeing their huge silhouettes and the glowing eyes, was nightmare fuel. XD

Oh I'm fine with it now, I have cats, so therefore I'm set to be creeped out by them occasionally just when they position their head just-right to give me eyelazers to the face. XD
I dread the day I make use of my powered 3D visor and strap a small camera to it, and use it as a cheap nightvision set with an IR torch, because then not only do the eyes glow, but they also don't notice it. That'll be interesting. XD
