Canadian National C40-8s #2125, 2113 and 2114, plus CSX ES44DC #5361 lead a freight up the Saint Charles Air Line through downtown Chicago. The C40-8s here have all been purchased used recently from Union Pacific, to cover power shortages. #2113 is painted to commemorate the railroad's 15th anniversary as a public company after being a Crown corporation. Amtrak and Metra's huge Canal Street coach yards are in the background, as are several lease engines, and a Milwaukee Road dome car. The huge field behind the train was once the terminal trackage of B&O/C&O's Grand Central Station.
