Alright. First things first, I started doodling the bottom left one while watching a NatGeo show on Piranhas tonight (lol). Decided to do a comparison of how Cobalt looks to a "standard"Hunter design. But I suddenly remembered I did the exact same thing months ago, hence the above set. Hgggnnnh, wow. ♥

▬ What's the difference between July & October, by comparison?

RESEARCH. Research, research, research.

I cannot stress that enough. Yes, I did indeed manage to draw this character close to 200 times over the summer- so "practice" applies. But that's because I was almost constantly learning new information that affected how I drew each time, which fueled drawing more & more as I accumulated applicable information. p.s: The original motivation for this, was that I still groan each time someone says my Hunter is "wrong" because I draw it different than everyone else. :l
