The General
An amazing adopt I got from the amazing
MyDrawnWorld !
This dragon was once a mighty warrior, the leader of a powerful clan in the East during ages long past. He and his kin were the masters of a powerful technique in battle which allowed them to step through shadows and create weapons formed from the air itself. Their mastery of might and magic confounded foes and led them to victory time and again, and his was an iron rule. Then, one day, he met his match on the field of battle when a conqueror from the desert lands challenged him for all that he ruled and stood victorious. His territory, his kin, his life, all belonged to the monarch Anul'Ven-Ra that day. And so the warrior took his place as the conqueror's greatest general, sworn to eternal service and given a new name: Khairos.
His is a tale of wrath and vengeance, but also of redemption and growth. He would be instrumental in creating and training the desert monarch's most deadly assassins, yet also in bringing about the end of a great evil. But those are tales for another day.
Though he appeared to me as little more than a monster of shadows, Khairos has become one of my most beloved characters. In this modern age he's a salty old man who has seen thousands of years too much, but has devoted his life to helping others who suffered beside him. He's been Tabari's trainer and mentor, as his blood is in the young man's veins. He does his duty and has his regrets, but also works to do everything he can to serve the light from the shadows. He also has taken surprisingly well to modern culture and has slain many with deadpanned memes.
He's also fully able to control the intensity of his glowy bits and tends to prefer a feral form, though he can shift it to a more bipedal stance as needed.
Khairos (and other mentioned characters) belong to me,
