Hehe I've had 2 over the years. The last one I had I managed to score a side mount for a scope and put a very old British Singlepoint sight on it. Looked good. old factory mags were horrible for it. Did get a couple of mags I had to modify and fit to the gun to get it to work. Looked like a modded AR7 that was used as an Imperial officer's pistol from the Return of the Jedi Endor bunker scenes. Used the same Singlepoint on a semi Auto Sterling 9mm carbine - aka Stormtrooper Blaster. Was fun but had some issues. Brake was a weld on type to turn a 14 inch TC Contender barrel into something long enough to use with a stock - ended up selling the Contender before finding someone who could do the weld and not ruin the barrel. Was a good slip fit on the Explorer 2 barrel and has a slot for a front sight.

Hi-Point's are SHIT!! Admittedly they aren't Raven or Jennings in quality, but they are junk and clunk top heavy bricks that go bang. The magazines are utter garbage. I know that one gun reviewer on YewTewb tried to actually kill them , filling the barrels with all sorts of shit. Even ended up using them as target practice.
As a carry piece, its shit, bulky, blocky, heavy, clunky.
But I also own one in .380, actually FOUND mine in a junk yard wreck under a floor mat, so that a GOOD Hi-Point. I keep it strictly as a Vehicle piece, meaning that if stolen or confiscated, I'm not crying a financial river a better gun would cause (Or like my Friends (back then value, pre-Covid) $950 Kahr 9mm was seized at the tri-cites area in Illinois.
Its loaded with full metal ball as the first shot to go through window glass first, all it has to do is go bang at close range, anything past 20 yards is a utter joke.
You need to add a bayonet lug to the bottom of the frame for Maximum What the Fuckery.
