Each individual, rarely more, resides on a Spiny Cactus Branch. In return for shelter they defend the cactus away from parasites and intruders. Using their electrified pedipalps, they can emit an electric bolt that goes as far as 30m. These only causes minor electric shock that does little harm, but for certain targets it may causes a greater electric shock, or very rarely, temporary knock them out.

If approached without harming the cactus however, the orb weaver would instead attempt to flee. They also remain passive if you only harvest the fruit or the flower of the cactus.
