I am still in a state of awe that we won all three of our categories--and by a commanding lead, too! You have no idea how humble I feel to have such terrific fans! I create Carry On to entertain you, and winning three Ursa Major Awards tells me that I'm doing something right!

I never did feel so confident as to think I had this "in the bag." Especially in the Illustration category, I felt that my work was far outclassed by the others. It amazed me to see that I had won.

And in the Short Subject category, there was so much effort and talent evident in the other contenders, that I think that Frank and I had better wear a Kevlar vest and hat for the next few years.

I am so glad that Frank won, because he really deserved acknowledgement for all the effort he's put into creating his fan videos, from "I'm The Bad Guy" and "The Humiliation of Jinjur Maiham" to "Nobody Does It Better."

In the end, these triumphs belong to you, the fans, who responded overwhelmingly in our favor. I am deeply appreciative to Doc and Mark, who stepped aside and encouraged their readers to cast their votes for my stuff. They are gentlemen in every sense of the term, and they both knew how much this means to me.
