Enzis : About a month has passed... If not more... I haven't seen Koresta since I sent her for weapons...
Enzis : No news from Nick either. It feels like I'm left to the mercy of fate.
Enzis glanced at his sword. He left a shield at home, and a one-handed sword. About two weeks ago. When he lost all hope of seeing one of his old friends.
But he threw a shield with a sword for a reason. In one of the raids, he managed to find Strom'kar. A sword long thought to be lost. Taking it, he cleaned it of dirt and dust, he was able to learn how to use a two-handed sword well. He got the feeling that he had been able to do this for so many years... But all the time something did not allow him to realize his skills.
Enzis : I got rid of the charm Nick gave me. No hallucinations, demons, horrors, did not visit me anymore. It's like it all ended abruptly. But I know that nothing is over. Looks like his charms don't work anymore. Or Void adapted to his magic, or he simply disappeared. There are no signs of his presence.
Enzis now stands in the tavern, awakening the last remnants of his druidic power and focusing them in a clenched fist.
Enzis : I'm still a druid. Despite the fact that I put on plate armor and started using heavy weapons.
Enzis : Still a druid, denying my nature. But why am I doing this? With my skills, I can stop this all by myself.
Enzies sat down on a chair, leaving his sword beside him.
Enzis : What if not? What if one is not enough for me? Or maybe I started all this in vain? All this. The activities of the oppositionist, well, the mayor zombifies his population, let him. I would go with Koresta to Stormwind. But no. I stuck my nose in the wrong place again. Even though I promised I wouldn't.
Enzis : What if I didn't do all this? And I would continue to be the city healer. But again, no.
Enzies turned his gaze to the window. Outside the window was the quarter in which he grew up. A burnt house was visible, the same one that Friderik burned down in his time. A flood of thoughts washed over Enzis' head. He recalled how good it was to live before all these events. This stream was interrupted by the voice of a man from behind the bar.
Bartender : Hey Worgen. You look like you've been squeezed out like a sponge. I can pour you some drink.
Enzis walked up to the bartender, thought for a couple of seconds, and replied:
Enzis : pour.
Bartender : Wait, beer, sometimes it would be good for a warrior to drink.
Enzis drank a glass of beer in one gulp, Enzis surprisingly felt better.
Enzis : *burp* uuh... well done...
Bartender : Well, immediately cheered up. At the expense of the establishment. Today the revenue was good, I can pour a couple of glasses for that.
Bartender : And yet, why are you so sad? You mumbled something to yourself, but I didn't understand anything.
From the look of Enzis, the bartender knew he didn't really want to talk. But he knew how to talk people. He has experience in this matter.
Bartender : I see you don't want to talk. I understand to some extent. You know, I used to be a warrior too, an adventurer. He earned a lot, and built this bar, it's called "Military Hearth" for a reason
Bartender : Fought, and lost comrades, friends. Always drank to their peace. And I see you, a warrior, albeit in appearance and not experienced, but definitely brave. So tell me, which of your comrades do you drink tonight?
Enzis : For no one. As far as I know, all my comrades are alive.
It seems the bartender managed to get Enzis to talk.
Bartender : Everybody is alive? This is good. So you are waiting for even more adventures, and reasons to earn money.
Bartender : Why are you so sad then? Is one of them sick? I know one good healer.
Enzis : I hope you're not talking about me?
The bartender put a hand on Enzis's shoulder.
Bartender : Yes, I'm talking about you. It seems I misspoke, before me is not a warrior, but a real paladin. Peculiar.
Bartender : You once removed the poison from my daughter, which she received from a snake in the local forests. From the snake I made myself a belt. And the girl now and then remembers you, wants to be like you.
Enzis : I think if she gets to know me better, then she won't want to be me.
Bartender : C'mon. Boy, you still have a long way to go. Don't hang your nose. Tell me what's troubling you?
Enzis : Long story short, a month ago I sent my... wife home for an axe, but I haven't seen her since. From a friend, a very important friend, there is no news for a month either.
Bartender : Yeeees, next.
Enzis : One of my friends was struck by a terrible disease with which I can do nothing. And so I torment myself for about a month, realizing that there is nothing I can do.
The bartender nodded.
Bartender : No you are not right. You can fix everything. For example. Describe to me what your wife looks like. Maybe I saw her.
Enzis : She has long ears, green eyes, she walks around in a brown shirt, you probably saw the shirt of a refugee from Gilneas.
Bartender : Yeah... Anything else?
Enzis : Well, she has blue-grey fur. With black patterns.
Bartender : Yeah. Yes, I've seen this one. Literally came yesterday.
Enzis : she came in for a drink?
Bartender : Remembered! She was looking for you! The whole city knows you, it's surprising that she didn't find you.
Enzis : Does she run around the bars looking for me? Interesting woman.
Bartender : She is shorter than what she asked for. For you to finally return home, she is also wondering why you started hiding. By the way, why did you start hiding?
Enzis : Not important. Thanks, I'll probably go home.
Bartender : Don't pull. The girl must have been waiting for you.
Enzies hurried out of the bar and headed towards the house. This month, fell out of his memory, he only remembers that he was able to get this sword, and where he was able to do it. And that is all. And after all that the most interesting. He lied when he mumbled about getting rid of the charm Nick gave him. He lost it the day he saved Nick from Asha'ta, who took possession of Kerrista's body.
The Asha'tha issue remained unresolved. But he already knew what to do.
End. Another page completed. I delayed something with the release, there were no ideas. At all. Even a graphoman can write out.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who reads these scribbles. You are best.
