So a bunch going on here. One is that I wanted to draw some more clown stuff. Another is that the Fleischer Toons people posted a new scan of the 1927 Koko the Clown short Koko in 1999, brining the silent-era star to the far distant future world of ... well, it's right there on the tin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFhUjqEpBww (and there are a lot of great shorts there, but do be prepared for some very dated humor; I don't remember any blackface gags offhand but that's probably my failing memory).
Anyway. These shorts always got introduced with some ingenious way of drawing Koko the Clown onto the scene, and I wanted to use that as a way to have the skunk clown doing something interesting. So here it is.
