I recently visited the Wichita Art Museum where they were displaying a special exhibit of Art Deco pieces. I couldn’t resist shooting photographs of some of the shinier items.
This Sparton Bluebird (model 566) radio from 1934 is particularly well-suited for playing the blues. Not only is the word ‘bluebird’ in its name, but the circular mirrored front is also tinted blue.

How did I miss this one?? *faving it now*
I've always loved the Art Deco-Streamline Moderne era of design, and this lovely Sparton 566 is a classic example. I can imagine hearing the pop tunes of the day or Orson Welles narrating "War Of The Worlds" on a radio like this.
