They probably are poison fans, though the loop on the handle is a slightly different style than the ones I can currently find for sale online. They look be perhaps a slightly older version of the same thing... I got really lucky, though, as I bought this pair from someone selling them on craigslist for super cheap! :3

I spin poi and staff, too... have for the last 8+ years. While I had tried friends' fans before, I didn't have my own until recently! So while I've only used them a few times so far, but they're tons of fun .:)

Just over Halloween I saw a performance by the Bare Bones puppet-people that involved a lot of fire spinning, including fans and umbrellas and a whip. Coolest. Shit. Ever.

Ooo cool beans! You look so happy, like it's where you belong! =D At the ren fair there was a guy with fire whips, it was so mesmerizing. I always thought it would be cool to get into, but I'm clumsy and don't have money. So I'll stick to watching. :3
