Macro Kangaroo and Skunk and Echo Satellite, 17 May 2022
I tweeted something goofy to the effect of a planetary-scale macro playing volleyball with one of the Echo inflatable communications satellites from the 60s and then I went and drew it. The figures are shakier than usual because I don't have any real understanding of anatomy or posing dynamic figures. But I imagine the idea gets across.
The planet was the real bit that stretched me, particularly with using Procreate's 'groovy' brush to create something that looks like clouds without looking like actual photorealistic clouds.
It took me so long to realize that if the satellite had a face the picture was like forty times better. The actual Echo inflatable satellite did not look particularly like this, and was, of course, not actually this big, but some of you might find it inspiring anyway. https://www.nasa.gov/centers/langle.....ject-echo.html
