Not much more I can do

Is it my constant trail of thought,
that leave me with sights of sadness?
Or is it the answers that I sought,
that bring me closer to madness?

I see my past frame these halls,.
to remember them makes me feel alone.
A place of memory, guarded by its walls.
This place. once... used to be my home.

Where the clock ticks and time stands still,
as echoes of past sing within its chimes.
Now the crows will cry, my heart beats nill.
a judgement comes to toll for my crimes.

The havoc I wrought will be mended,
now that so many friendships have ended.
To fix everyone for the better,
is why I apologise within this letter.

It is my fault for the pain in this life.
It is my fault for the spread of strife.
To the hearts of those who were once my light.
I now only wish to say goodnight.
