Name: Axinite, the Bloodgem
Race: Earth Gensai
Class: Zealot (or Juggernaut) Barbarian
Alignment: Neutral Good
Background: Gladiator

Backstory: Orphaned at a church of the sun god Pelor as a baby, Axinite never knew his true parents & considers the church’s worshipers as his real family. Reading & studying became second nature to him, but when he read of fantastical fighters battling out across the Continent, he found his true calling. Self teaching through manuals of fighting, along with fighting within prize fights of the Gladiator’s Arena, he earned a reputation as “Bloodgem”, due to his naturally gifted body made of rock & gemstone, & gives the money towards the church he grew up in. However, even with the winnings, the church fell into disrepair & to compensate for it, Axinite rigs his own fights & others as a means of betting to gain as much money as possible. He was soon arrested & sentenced to a harsh jail life. But the Worshippers of Pelor proceeded to give him an ultimatum: Pay back the debt through legal means or risk insuring the wrath of Pelor on his soul & losing his pride for all time. So now he roams the land, as a bounty hunter to fight monsters & even get back into fighting dens, in the hopes of regaining his lost honor & repay his debt to society.
Personality: Down to earth & wise beyond his stone exterior, enjoys fair & honest fights. Hates deceit among others, especially to him. Has a shadow hanging over his head, but keeps a calmness to him, gentle too. When in the ring, he puts on a grand show with bombastic vigor, with the power to back it up as well. When in battle, if you fight with him, he’s your best pal. If someone uses magic or doesn’t provide teamwork, he gets distrustful until proven otherwise.

Secret Flaw: Believes all magic outside of the gods themselves to be fake, parlor tricks to deceive the foe rather than face them head-on.
