A former drug runner, Durond was taken down by Murata and later reformed as a chef. Despite his unsettling sadistic air, he respects the sergeant enough to give warnings from the street, if only for the chance to battle against his "beloved" rival, once again.

Writing characters for Murata's storyline was interesting, since he has very few actual friends to bring from the Gamera films. Instead I had to get a little creative with some of the antagonists to be more "neutral proximity" allies.

Guiron is a fantastic design, but  jamescorck did an incredible job using the hat in a way to make him look even MORE ugly than usual. Look at him, he's a fucking goblin and I love him so much, I mean of course I'm going to make a knife-headed dude be a chef.
I love writing this dude, not gonna lie, it's fun to write a weirdly sadistic character who's not actually a villain.
