Organic Synthetic Science is, without a doubt, the youngest and most poorly understood field of study currently being avidly pursued by scientists of the Starscape. The ability to synthetically design and birth a organism that is otherwise entirely physically organic is the holy grail of biology, but so far, it has only been done successfully on two known occassions. The first was the magnum opus of a defunct company once known as GIDITECH, whose obsession with the field led them directly into bankruptcy even after they managed to successfully develop a number of their "Gidi" species, and the secret to their success was lost to time. The other case, however, appears to have it's origins outside of the Starscape, and furious study and research has only created more questions than answers.

Scientists have been struggling to agree on a proper name for the species, but for now they are mostly reffered too colloquially as "Receptionists", as that is what the one that;s been discovered reffers to itself as. Only "rezzie" has been found so far, living exclusively within the ruins of an ancient and massive complex, designed by a species not of the Starscape as, of all things, a luxury resort. While work uncovering and studying the ruins is in its infancy, most eyes have been glued to the Reception 10-B herself, who has apparently stayed isolated there for over ten millennia, and yet looks as young and spry as if she were in her early 20's.

Reception 10-B is small, only three feet tall, with a large, plump tail and short, pointed ears. Her legs and arms are also notably tiny, as she travels around by floating seemlessly in a manner that is still a mystery. Her coloration is clearly not natural, due to the unique, gentle colors under a patterned black backside, displaying stars and constellations assymetrically across her body. With a soft and sweet voice to match her gentle and kind demeanor, all signs indicate that Rezzie was made from the ground up to be an adorable guide to the customers that would have come to this place, though from interviews and conversations with her, it seems every one of her kind were meant to be custom-made for a customer of the resort, designed and developed before their arrival.

Further study is needed, but this discovery is still brand new, and Reception 10-B has been extremely compliant and helpful. Also, the scientists absolutely love her, she's just so cute!
