Their flesh is not toxic, instead it causes one night of sleep paralysis for certain people, if eaten at least 6 hours before bed time. Quantity eaten doesn't matter.

An elongated predatory fish residing in deeper water.

-It's translucent fins can absorb sunlight, letting them glows in the dark for a period of time, possibly used for attracting preys.
-2 short antennas lying above it's jaw allows it to detect the environment in the dark.
-Inside it's mouth lies a second jaw, used to capture fast moving prey.

While initially passive, it would not hesitate to bite if attacked, or disturbed in it's territory, mostly simple hiding spots along side coral reefs or crevices.
