I suppose I should take a stab at this one as well.
It has to do with sexuality. No one understands human sexuality. Human behavior is a summation of genetic predisposition and environmental factors during the life-long development of the human mind. This same logic can be applied to the furry fandom as a whole. No one understands the attraction to anthropomorphic characters, we are only aware that there is an attraction there. The end result of the behaviors of being a furry, which I'm sure you are aware of, are comfort in the fantastical mindset that you can be what you are not when acting the roll of a furry, which is also true to anyone who enjoys age play. You can take that very logic of why you are a furry, apply it to your question, and ultimately find the solution yourself. However, as I stated before, a clear-cut scientific explanation doesn't really exist for it.

Well, that and I suppose the warning label a deterrent to anyone who "disagrees" with diapers to enter because they know that they'll probably be flamed. Roughly 30% of the fandom is a diaperfur. Going in and expressing your distaste for something that a good chunk of the fandom is fond of would be a bad idea. I just wish Dragoneer, who has expressed his dislike in the subfandom quite often, had a little bit of that 30% heading in his direction with that same aggression.

I have to say, I've never been much interested in diapers or age play (ignoring certain aspects of past relationships ) but I have to say that This pic has me thinking differently! I'd settle in beside him, behind him, nuzzle and lick while watching him play! ;)
The best, of course, is in the details! The perspective, the focus, and the obvious fun that pups is having with his game! I love it all!

Normally I'm not into diaperfurs, I'll check a pic out once in a while but mostly it's ctrl+f4 and onto the next.
But this is THE CUTEST picture I've ever seen. The expression on the face, perspective, the footpaw stretched out like one does when one's not really paying attention... it's sooooo awesome. Have to fave it even with the diaper. <G>
