This project ended up in a different place than it was when I started - not unusual in and of itself, but getting from beginning point to end point took more effort this time.
I drew the central dragon design originally as a commission for someone, who then dropped off the face of the internet when it came time to consult on next steps and arrange for payment. I let the design sit around for several years before I inked it, then for several more before I decided to add color and finishing work. Now I've turned a burn into a win, and I'm reasonably pleased with the result!
I colored the dragons with Prismacolor pencils. The background is matboard over which I've sewn gold thread (for the symmographic line design), blue coral beads, and shiny bits.
