Let's pretend this relationship did not end in Chrysalis getting beheaded. At some point, Chrysalis becomes welcomed member of the group with a knack for humiliating her favorite widdle cub. And the only thing that bothers him is why she likes him wearing the cowgirl outfit so much.
Side note, this was a possible ending for the Liger Cub but I clearly chose against. An ending where Maximus spares her life because of her begging or because he was emotionally unable to do it, offers her a second (though realistically 4th) chance.
