one of the first things i painted when i got out of the hospital. i remember being afraid of putting too much of myself in art, and also of the color red.

Why would you have been afraid to put too much of yourself in art? This is a marvelous piece, both abstractly and in rendering.

i had a lot of irrational anxiety when i first started taking the medication they gave me in the hospital. one of those was a kind of avoidance to attaching too much emotions to art, which would get me thinking too much, and set me back in the hospital.

It is hauntingly beautiful, art of this quality does not come by very often. I put it on my desktop. I don't know whether or not you put too much of yourself in this painting or not, but I do know that it has a lot of character.
