I've been a fighter and a ranger, so time to round things out and be a spell caster!
In this take on unspecified fantasy setting Kennin, I tried incorporating pregnancy into the character backstory for some kind of magic user, with a sort of primitive, nature-y style. I made a pact with a powerful being (a fertility deity, nature spirit, some other higher power) to further my magical powers, and in return I have to carry this being's offspring until they're ready to be born. Through the growing young, my patron allows me to tap into a pool of mana to cast potent spells, and might provide premonitions or secret information. The pregnancy is more than worth the magical benefits, even if it does slow me down and get in the way a bit! Or a lot. I could be nine months along and due any day, but I could also be in this for the long haul, extra long. Maybe I've already been pregnant for several years and still have several more to go! Whatever the case, with my sigil tattoos glowing bright, it's clear that I'm drawing on the mana from within my womb to do something or other!
I'd love to use this as the basis for a TTRPG character some day. With the right group of course.
