I won the 3-ball pinball tournament at Furfright on Saturday October 30th and walked away with this little trophy!

I had a great time playing in the tourney, which lasted two rounds and featured about 15 competitors in round one and 3 finalists in round two. My scores in both games were about 175 million points.

Going in, I never expected to win and I even thought twice about entering at all, but I decided to give it a try and I just figured I would have a little fun, make some new friends, and get to play a bit of pinball on a weekend when I never expected to.

There were a handful of strong players competing.  Punktiger and  Karyuu were some serious competition, as they both played very steady games. Punk was edged out by a nose (by a very nice gentleman whose name, I am embarrassed to say, I cannot remember at the moment :< ) and unfortunately didn't make it to the second round. After an astonishingly strong game in round one where he scored nearly 370 million points, Karyuu had some truly rotten luck in round two and barely broke 10 million thanks to some bad bounces. I think he deserved to win more than I did, considering his score in round one was higher than my scores from both rounds combined! Had we gone another round, I think I would've lost.

The game we competed on was Gladiators from 1993. I had never played this one prior to Friday, but it's a fun little table with some tough shots.

I missed the single-ball tournament on Friday because I didn't know about it. I hope to compete in both of them next year!
