You're going to learn about a lot of gods soon. People who are born into nobility wait to get blessed. This is sometimes a very bad thing, as you will find out later muahahha

Are there ways to acquire magic in this setting apart from being chosen by a god, like being born with it or studying in order to learn how to use it?

Yes! Freya actually knows summoning magic from being a half-oracle (which is why she wears an eye-patch) and has studied for some other little bits of magic. Devin, who we haven't met yet also knows some magic, it mostly helps him with fighting, like being able to go fast and to jump extreme distances. Many elves are born with magic as well. Evrics don't tend to have much magic, but if they're Northernborn then they have the ability to shift forms at will. All oracles are born with crazy summoning abilities that can sometimes force gods into speaking to them if the conditions are right.

Interesting thanks. It seems like Oracles making gods speak with them would be rather risky.
