yesterday would have been my grandpa's 87th birthday. he was a big peanuts fan and I drew snoopy a couple of times for his birthday in the past. I this drew real quick yesterday after working on cleaning up/packing up stuff in my grandparents house.
i like to assosiate cardinals with visits from him because he really liked cardinals and had so many little cardinal things throughout the house. I've noticed that I see them a lot more often now, though sometimes I rationalize with myself that it could be that I didn't really acknowledge them much before he passed. It is a nice thing to think, though, and more than once I've noticed a cardinal peeping its head in on the window seal so who knows.
