Glorfindel, though he is polite, has quite a prankster streak to him. As such, when Zelda asks him to make her grow, he decided to mess with her by shrinking her instead. And despite saying sorry for the 'mistake,' the tone is more playful rather than regretful.
Hopefully, she'll learn to like it.

As an aside note, when I described Glorfindel's character to Princessnapped, she took the prankster side of him by shrinking one of my characters free of charge. And no, she didn't meant for it to be a MicroMay theme picture either.
