It's not strange at all. It's a classic twist ending - however a completely different kind of story.

I am excited to see some Curtis and Jeremy interactions!
I had been looking forward to them since last year, when I first joined your Patreon and saw all the cool concept art and misc splash pages. In particular one of a spirit threatening to kill Jeremy if Curtis told his secret to him.

That is a long time to be sticking around! I've been told my interactions between characters is my strength so I look forward to them interacting too.

Aight, aight, aight... I like the direction this is taking, not just furry for 18+... This page brings way more context to the story, i though Curtis got bitten a couple weeks ago until i read this page... And we can see how empathetic Jeremy is towards his friends... That's character development in a nutshell, great page... Working as context, character development and i can bet also works as a pause for what Curtis about to show us... Such a great work, i was worried it had ended two weeks ago, so glad it didn't 😎

Oh wow! So fortunate for Whats-her-Face to have found such an empathetic man to be in love with. I'm really happy for her, and Curtis is really lucky to have a friend willing to drop everything to go see him if he's not doing well. Gee, sure is glad that being gay isn't a choice, otherwise this lady might be in trouble!
