The Goblin Hoard. At first glance, you'd think Goblins were incapable of creating any form of government, or that they simply didn't have one. But when you notice that Goblins all bear the same engraving of the Goblin flag, then you know that Goblin is part of a large Hoard. On Minerva, such is the Goblin Hoard, all united by a green and purple flag with a cross-eyed smile.
Goblins are believed to be the anti-thesis to Dwarfs, and some scholars believe that Goblins and Dwarfs have the same ancestry. Where the divide happened is unknown, but some believe that the divide was born when 1 tribe of this ancestor race treked down a mountain top and the other stayed put, thus creating their divide. Some believe it's more that one race lives on top of the mountain, while the other chose to live underground. Which tribe is which changes depending on who's telling the story, and one belives that Dwarfs were chissled from stone and the other was molded from clay.
Nobody knows the true story, or even if this theory is true. Goblins and Dwarfs have been fighting since, some believe, the beginning of time. And the Goblin Hoard is led by Niadzi Azzaso, the Goblin Queen. Goblins don't believe in any sort of familial succession; the ruling Goblin is determined simply by who kills the previous leader. Poison, combat, magic? Doesn't matter. The current Queen did so by dabbling in magical arts. How she learned is a mystery...
In some pocket societies and beyond the stars, Goblins and Dwarfs are capable of working together.
