The Devil and Daniel Mouse and Rock and Rule were by the same group... they eventually released a dvd combining both films and a third, but I forget what the third was.

Yeah I know, Nelvana. The Devil and Daniel Mouse came before Rock N Rule, though - and was the inspiration for it too. The version of The Devil and Daniel Mouse that appears on the Rock N Rule DVD is actually truncated by a few minutes!

I didn't know that! I'll look for an original version. :)

the version of The Devil and Daniel Mouse on that DVD was a cut version. At least 2 minutes shorter. It's garbage because of that.

I uh... I actually wrote a short story once about Weez Weasel starting on the long, hard road out of hell after his experience with Jan (and Dan) and the "court room" scene. I don't talk about it much because it's really saccharine and I think most people would just find it funny rather than sweet :p But I'll send it to you on the off-chance you're interested in that kinda thing!

"The Devil and Daniel Mouse" was one of the things that helped turn me furry, I'm convinced. I saw its original airing in the US, which must have been 1978 or 1979. It totally had an impact on me.

I consider it one of my duties in life to generate good, worthy fanart for awesome, on-the-obscure-side animated films and shows :)

She's very cute. I really like Jan. Despite her fame, she really never it consume her and she did show she still had worries and feelings for Dan.

Ah yes, have this on DVD. Wonder if they upscaled it better for the Rock & Rule bluray release (probably not).
