Harvest of sorrow (by LiveNLove7)
The pic was inspired by this song
It's said that sometimes a tear hides behind a big smile,
and that only who has experienced the cold kiss of melancholy knows how to make those around them smile again.
When he thinks back on his life, Sir Cordiale can't help but smile.
From an exuberant and cheeky youngster, over the course of his existence the hare has turned into a calm and kindhearted warrior and captain,
always there with a quick joke or a useful advice for his recruits and comrades.
The late Captain Ferdimondo Ramolaccio won, lost, smiled and cried, living a life full of experiences,
and now a "half-death" full of surprises and new reasons to stay in this world a little longer.
His only regret, having left behind so many people dear to him.
One in particular has remained particularly in his heart, and sometimes looking back he seems to feel a flush of heat in his cold ghostly body.
It was actually pretty cold that night.
The sky was dark and windy, and the sea that bathes Valmeridia to the west lashed the coast with violent waves,
spraying the dark sand all around with foam.
On all fours, like a cub that had not yet learned to take his first steps,
Ferdimondo contemplated the tide line and the burning raft that was carrying away a piece of his soul,
shedding abundant tears down his warrior muzzle, forged by the fire of many battles.
But the sea seemed to have one last gift in store for his broken heart.
A memento floated on the water's edge in front of him, as quiet as a caress on the face.
A flower that reminded him of her name, the memory of a promise that it would have been his duty to keep,
so as not to turn the future of the princedom into a harvest of sorrow...It's been a while since I last commissioned a pic about Sir Cordiale's past, so I thought I'd take the chance and ask my friend
LiveNLove7 to bring to life another piece of art for the lore of my characters ^^This time the theme is pretty melancholy, but after all you can't tell the story of someone without showing the good and also the bad times.
This is just a taste of something I have planned to turn into a nice mini-comic, someday.
The character Sir Cordiale is crying about is actually very very important to explain the past of him, Silva and Borgon too, and I can't wait to introduce her, especially considering that aside from her tragic end, she has actually a pretty compelling and cool story to tell!
I hope you'll like this humble concept, and if you like the art please visit the artist's gallery for more

As a ref I gave them a photo I took on the seaside of Sardegna during a stormy night. And yeah I agree, they did a great job in the matter
And of course, I trust your style deeply and last time we worked great together.
I only have to create the script for it and find the funds, but I'll keep you in mind for sure
