Originally, two of the subjects in this mural were going to have different poses. For the hulking Calorotitan, my first instinct was to give him a pose different from the design's original render. For context, this fandesign's concept is "Big croc carries small crocs in its mouth but it cries because they are too spicy-- 'crocodile tears,' get it?" But I realized that no one who hadn't seen the original fanart would understand why this one entity in Fueco's dream is tearing up and drooling with a runny nose. So I redid him with a new pose that lends itself better to the setting, and the visual focus went from "i cri evrytim" to "mouth of holding"-- featuring a different breed of youngling. The snot-nose carried over though.
The design in the upper left is an interesting case, as I don't actually have a clue what it's supposed to be, so I had to come up with my own interpretation. He's holding his hands similarly to a beckoning cat or a statue of Buddha, because the sparkle in his eyes me think of enlightenment. However, he looked like he wasn't naturally part of this one scene, distanced in the corner facing straight forward. In the final draft, Patches is facing to the right, with a 🙏 gesture, and has his tounge out, playing on a semblance to famous hair owner Albert Einstein.
