mermaid problems
Finally a mermay picture!
This as actually going to be done for the 1st. But I was struggling to finish off the colours, then I faffed around with it for ages, eventually decided to do a background, faffed with it even more, then some more fixing, and then I just sat on it because I was too lazy to do the uploading I had to do XD
But I wanted to actually upload it in May.
I had another Mermay picture I wanted to do too but I was struggling to do it so that one will be late -_-
I almost thought I'd be on the ball this year loll
I'm still not 00% on the colours but I think they're okay. I was basing her colours/design after the water/fountain faeries from Neopets because I always adored them as a kid.
Being a mermaid must be amazing and cool. You get to glide around the sea like you're flying, see beautiful and amazing things, not to mention getting cool powers!
But, for those still trying to also live a relatively normal human life on land, it can be a little difficult to maintain your secret, or just avoid from falling on your face at the first drop of water.
I imagine the person she's talking to is totally in on the secret. Or maybe being a mermaid is just a known thing in this universe. But it doesn't make it any les amusing when your friend is suddenly sent careening to the floor because she forgot what time Sprinkler Time was.
Someone get her a towel!
