But for the character's design itself is really up to you or something you like or love, Belladonna. Like you've asked, European era (American, South American, Central Asian, South Asian. In case of 19th century era not only happen in European continent.) design with a punk horror-fantasy combined feels of the characters for its time it doesn't looks old fashioned because of the usage of punk theme.
