This is Jam, one of the primary characters in my fantasy novel "Masks of the Elements". I haven't really posted anything of her before here, so I hope that you all like her and want to know more! Everything you need to know about her should be covered below :)

And I really need to start posting/making proper profiles for my main characters who show up in this gallery :P I've been kind of making these based on my own whims and inspirations.

About:

Jamika, or ‘Jam’ to most who know her, is a young researcher at the Eletech Institute of Sarasala Kingdom. Since she lost her mother at a very young age, Jam was raised almost entirely by her father, Simeon, and she inherited his passion for science and innovation as a result. She also inherited some of his more eccentric personality traits. This has led to her being far less interested in etiquette, dancing, and fashion than her peers around the castle where she and her father spend most of their time.

While her ‘unladylike’ behavior has earned her the ire of nobles who have to interact with her, none have been able to deny the impact that Jam has had on the institute with her dedication. At 19, she’s already left her mark by improving the efficiency of machines used to supply the entire kingdom with elemental crystals, and she is known around the institute for constantly approaching problems from unique angles. While her desire to innovate and prove herself has gotten her in trouble on occasion, she is generally regarded quite positively by others in her field.

Unfortunately, that positive regard is not shared by her childhood friend and heir to the Sarasalian crown, Prince Cecil. While Jam was growing up and learning how to turn gears and not singe her fur when playing with fire, Cecil was learning how to be a proper figure of royalty. Although the pair used to play constantly as kits and grew quite fond of one another, time apart and the death of an older brother turned Cecil cold. In current times, he barely looks at Jam, let alone talks to her.

That was why, when Cecil came to Jam’s father in desperate need of mechanical aid for a secret mission, Jam jumped at the chance to help instead. By giving Cecil no choice but to take her along and even rely on her, Jam is confident that Cecil will have to stop pushing her away so that they can repair their friendship.

Sadly, the world hasn’t made focusing on their friendship a simple affair. Not only did a horrific warlord known as the Death Mage choose NOW to attack Sarasala Kingdom, but a slew of new discoveries are demanding Jam’s attention. Not the least of which being a mysterious pair of magic gloves that have the power to manipulate the element of earth itself.

What will await her at the end of this new adventure?
