On the opposite side of the globe from the blightlings are the Lizard lands of Vertist. Lizard folk come in five varieties, Kanaca here is an Ouros Lizard and a famous one. It is famous for having created the idea of the division of labor in a production sense. Instead of having an individual artisan who makes a product from start to finish, Kanaca set up factories with specialized workers. This changed the course of Vertisian production forever. As a side not a great deal of lizards take pride in their workers, those that don't end up murdered. The name Cardinal, Kanaca's spoken name, is derived from a myth where a bright red bird led lizards that had gone astray back to the correct path.
